Electromobility is on the rise: in 2020, 75 times more electric cars were registered than in 2015. In 2022, 49.6% of all newly registered cars were equipped with alternative drives (electric (BEV), hybrid, plug-in, fuel cell, gas, hydrogen). E-mobility is currently developing so rapidly that many large companies are struggling to keep up and start-ups often offer faster and more innovative solutions.
A major challenge is the expansion of charging stations, because without infrastructure, the appeal of an e-car is limited. But even short-distance drivers sometimes face insurmountable hurdles if they have no way of installing a wallbox in the garage or connecting a high-voltage socket.
