LICS: independently audited, not self-certified

The Language Industry Certification System (LICS) is the body that regularly reviews and re-certifies COMLOGOS through a qualified external auditor. In addition, we conduct continuous internal audits to safeguard quality and processes. There are concrete, documented qualification requirements for all staff, including translators who are native speakers with subject-specific expertise and consistent use of CAT tools such as Trados Studio and MultiTerm.

So, what does ISO 18587 govern, and what role does AI play?

It standardises the post-editing of machine translations and the qualification of post-editors. Machine or AI pre-translation is never delivered unchecked. Trained specialists post-edit it according to defined rules. This is controlled AI rather than a black box.

What does ISO 9001 stand for?

It stands for the quality management system, which involves stable, documented processes, customer focus, and continuous improvement. It ensures that quality remains consistent across projects and over time.

Are your machine and AI-assisted translations also certified?

Do I get proof for my translation?
